This unit had the same problem, no sound. I took it to a professional, and he did not read the installation book. There for he hooked up wires that I did not ( power antenna ) and made the unit work. 1 Hour labor #75.

When I purchased this stereo I think I was a little sceptical, but hey who isn’t when they see such a great price on something that has so many features. I got it in the mail really fast and had my dad install it for me so I don’t look like a moron as I’ve seen from some other people on here (p.s. if you have never installed a stereo don’t start trying without help from someone who has#. Anyways it looks great and it sounds great, I hooked it up to my Iphone to cut back on how many cds I make and it sounds great, seriously do your research on this but you will find great things about this stereo just as I did and I am glad I did because I saved so much money going with this one and I am just as happy with it as my fiance is with his but guess what I didn’t have to spend $200 on mine. The only reason to give this stereo any less then 4 stars is if you don’t know how to hook it up, in the book it tells you if something isn’t working then which wires could be hooked up wrong #or not at all) or if you have wires touching, and all wires should be covered so they don’t touch.

Bought this stereo on March 12 and six days later it was in my car. The sound is really good, and the installation was pretty simple. All in all, this is a great buy! Highly recommended.

I’ve installed this unit in my 89 toyota pick up. I absoloutley love it. very easy to install. works amazing. looks good. the volume goes up to 46 which is crazy loud. AUX input works great with my mp3 player. i currently have my XM xpress hooked up to it. works great. some reviews say the dial is too thin. i havent had a problem with it. its easy to turn. the HD works well, even if it does take a few seconds to load. i live in the mountains and i get great reception. great unit for a good price. i will buy from DUAL again. highly recommended!!!

Purchased this unit in Feb. of 2009. Worked and sounded great. Easy to install. But, I live in the Phoenix area and it burned up. The unit was so hot when it failed, that I could not touch the chassis. The A/C was on, but not much circulation under the dash. I shipped it back on 9-9-2009, and I was told 3-4 weeks before I see it again. I’ll let you know……….
