…but it’s the best choice you can make for this kind of audio subwoofer which you can put under your seat to feel the “bass in you butt” :)

let me explain a little bit:

First, the power RMS output it’s not what is stated here (400W), the box says it’s 200W RMS, which i still think is about half of this power when you turn it on, because i have the Logitec X-530 surround speakers in my computer, and the subwoofer of the Logitec (which is about 25w RMS) sounds as loud as this bass600, so this bass lack a little bit of RESONANCE, that’s why you can’t hear it as loud from outside the car. And although this subwoofer fits under your seat which is great (i have a VW Polo 2003 Hatch), it’s so thin that it doesn’t let the driver to “breath” properly, to unleash all the potential, it would be great if this bass had a hole in one side for this. So if you have a Logitec x-530, you know what you can expect.

But despite that, it doesn’t matter if you listen to heavy metal or a string quartet, it will give you good, great balance to the sound of you car, considering you have just a receiver and speakers (without amp), and it reproduces ALL the notes all the way down to 20 hz, just be sure to use the settings properly, and you’ll have great bass, and clean balanced audio in your car, loud enough you’ll have to yell hard to the person next to you for he/her can hear you.

    I truly recommend it…

If you’re looking for respectable thump and only have about 1/3 cubic foot of space (3″ x 14″ x 14″) then the BASS600 may be ideal. The way that the BASS600 achieves its low-frequency magic is in the clever way it mounts the 8″ low profile sub woofer to a high-density plastic baffle that sandwiches the amplifier. What you can expect is deep notes from this compact sub that will be loud enough for personal listening you can feel. On the downside if you over drive the BASS600 with your head unit/Equalizer then it will distort. I give it my highest rating for what it does by enhancing my music in a fun way from such a tiny space.
